Since owning my 750iL, I had latched on to a group of very enthusiastic owners of BMW Alpinas. In the process of making my 750 look like its' equivalent Alpina model, I decided I really wanted an Alpina and found a 5-Series based B10 V8 with a 4.6 litre engine and similar performance to the Lotus. It's not quite as quick in either acceleration or top speed but is more then sufficient for everyday driving. More information can be found at the Alpina Register website.
